Weekend Scenes: March 28th & 29th

It was Saturday morning and I was in the shower getting ready for the day. I had just put conditioner in and—cut—no more water. We are still in temporary housing and we called the managers to see what was going on. Long story short, the electric tripped the water but it totally through off our morning plans. After I finished my shower with a cold bottle of water and we hung around to let people in to our flat to work on the problem, we headed out to meet a friend in Bayswater. It was a windy and drizzle-filled day so we went to a pub to enjoy some food and chat away about exploring the world.

On Sunday, British Summer Time (known as daylight savings in the US) arrived though the weather brought more rain (come on Spring, what are you doing?). We were so tempted to just stay in and dry but we decided we needed to get out, even if it was just to somewhere close by. Soon, we were on the bus up to Angel to hop around the shops in Camden Passage and grab a bite to eat. We picked up a few books to read through as we plan upcoming trips (we head to Paris oh-so-soon! Let us know if you have any must-sees for us to add to our list!)

We took a nice relaxed walk around the residential streets near where we will soon be able to call home. We hadn't been up to that area since we looked at our flat and to be honest, I was a little nervous about going back. While I whole heartily believe in gut feelings, you never know how you are going to feel about something with a second look. Our guts were proven right as we turned each corner.

I think we are becoming huge fans of doors. There are so many unique ones that allow each home to make a statement.

And now its Monday and all we can do is reflect back on the weekend happy that we got out to enjoy this lively city even in the rain!
